So, to recap: my user name is a nod to my existing online identity at the time I created my LJ, and it expresses my love of magic and fantasy - is it any surprise that I plan to write young adult* fantasy novels in the future? ;)


* But only if I can avoid the porn. :D Otherwise, I'm doubtful about the YA classification. Hehe.

Ok, so - I love the Donald Strachey movies, I'm obsessed into Queer as Folk (and I've seen the British version), I've watched some clips of Les Bleus on YouTube, I checked out the first two episodes of Noah's Arc on the QAF DVDs and plan to try to watch the rest online if I can locate them...

So, do y'all, my knowledgeable f-listers, have any suggestions for other tv shows, miniseries, etc with The Gayz in them? :)

(I still have to finish the Dresden Files and Vanished, and I need to get caught up on Supernatural, not to mention that I have to find Noah's Arc and finish both seasons, but I thought I'd ask anyway.)


BTW, the 'sweet and precious' thing is something my grandmother used to do. She'd say 'It's your sweet and precious Mimi' (Mimi being our word for grandmother in her case) when we'd answer the phone and stuff like that. *lol*

I found an article I can do tonight about filming in NYC, and I have a few other articles that I might do or combine into one (they aren't strictly related to the shows, rather to forensics itself) - there's just not much going on at the moment. You know, it's been ages since I read any fanfic, but I've noticed that there's been a lot of Danny/Flack stuff posted on my flist lately (from various writers, at that).

It's kind of strange how we go through these phases - one minute there's NO fic, then suddenly people are inspired. It makes me wonder what caused the sudden influx.

Other than the boys just being so damn pretty, of course. :P

Well, Emily is officially 14 - it's really scary to think that I can remember the day she was born. I also remember being 14, but I don't think I was as much of a dork as she is.

Shut up, don't crush my dreams.

In other news, her attempt to put Skittles in everything led to having a birthday cake with Skittles in it. It wasn't as gross as I thought it would be - the cake itself was delish, though. My compliments to the foxy lady that made it (meaning me, of course *lol*).

Y'all should be proud of me. I separated the egg white from the yolk for the first time today to make that cake. I know it's not a big deal, and it's really something I should have done before, but such is life - I was totally proud of myself after it worked perfectly the first time. *is a dork*

Emily wanted Sonic for her birthday, so we went and gorged ourselves on food. I really shouldn't have gotten a Sonic Blast after having a milkshake with my food, but damnit, I wanted one! *stomps foot* I regretted it later because I felt like vomiting, but sometimes you have to accept the consequences of your actions. :P

Also, Emily and I came to the realization that she and I are each other's best friend. I know that probably should have been a bonding moment, but mostly we just felt kind of pathetic. She wants younger, cooler friends and I want someone who isn't 14.

My sister's birthday is tomorrow - she'll be 14. *cue horror music* I don't want to think about it, almost as much as I don't want to think about her starting HIGH SCHOOL soon. *finds a corner and curls up in a ball to weep*

I feel so old.

Anyway, there haven't been many chances to go shopping without her there, ( so my mom and I took the opportunity today to go out and find something for her... )

Also, I drove today - yay me, I didn't get us killed. :D

Hello everyone!

My name is Alec and I hail from the ever wonderful North Carolina. I am a 20 year old student studying Environmental Technology and using my free time to travel the world. So far in my very short life I have visited Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland, Peru, Brazil, and Costa Rica. My next trip is going to be Mexico in December :) I am working on becoming bilingual in spanish at the moment and I absolutely adore portuguese (which is the next languge on my list).

A little more about me. . . I work as a nanny and I love what I do. I am a vegetarian and I love to volunteer in my community with animals. I'm considored somewhat of  a liberal/free-spirit and I'm not religious (spiritual at best). I enjoy rock climbing, yoga, and pilates, as well as going out dancing with my friends. Plus, I always love meeting new people! I'm especially interested in finding a pal who can help me with my spanish. Plus, anyone who likes to travel and has any great advice to offer is always a plus.
